Mr. Flores' Success Story

From Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals Little Rock

Mr. Flores, an essential worker, tested positive for COVID19 in early January. He spent one month in the ICU battling this virus and pneumonia. When he arrived at Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals Little Rock in February, Mr. Flores needed oxygen and mobility assistance.

Mr. Flores, a recent graduate, was determined to get better and return to his life. He worked with our rehabilitation, respiratory, and clinical team members to maximize his mobility and improve his oxygen levels.

After three weeks, Mr. Flores discharged home! When he left Cornerstone, he needed only one liter of oxygen and could walk up to 500 feet! We’re so thankful to serve Mr. Flores and wish him the best!

Care for Complex Conditions

Patients come to our hospitals with serious conditions such as respiratory failure, complex wounds, sepsis, stroke, congestive heart failure, or even a combination of these. Their diagnoses are often complicated by existing health problems like diabetes or COPD. Many of our patients require treatments such as mechanical ventilators, dialysis, or IV therapy.
